Tips for the iPhone
What’s Up:
In my traveling I discovered that out necessity and convenience I was using my smart phone more. As with other computer devices I developed ways to use the device more efficiently and save time and my fingers while getting what I want done. Also, as with other computer devices, many users only know the basics in using a device and could benefit from labor/time saving facts. I will be presenting a series of tips for using the iPhone (sorry Android users). Most tips will cover iPhone versions 7 and up. The key to iPhones is having the latest iOS installed as many of the tips depend upon the iOS version installed.
These tips are intended for the older generation that got a smart phone thinking it was a super cell phone. The younger generation learn how to use electronic devices like smart phones before they can talk and already know these tips.
To start things off, this tip saves a lot of backspacing.
Texting’s Three Finger Salute
Overview
You are typing a text messages when you decide that you need to delete what you typed and start over. Backspacing to delete each letter and space can be a lot depending upon how much you have already typed. The easier way is to use the three finger salute.
Three Finger Salute
Using three fingers so that all three fingers will touch the screen at the same time, tap two times (quickly) any where on the texting page. What you have typed during the current session will be deleted allowing you to start the message again. It will not delete any text that has already been sent.
Stay tuned…more to come.
