There is a class action suit against Apple and its iPhones for downgrading performance. Details are at www.smartphoneperformancesettlement.com/ as is a Web-based form to submit a claim. Therein lies my problem. The claim form submission input defaults to all caps, which is problematic in that, for example, the "@" in email addresses will not enter correctly and appears as a "2". I have emailed my problem to Apple and thus far have received no response (and don't really expect one.) Meanwhile can anyone suggest a solution? As it stands now, it looks like there will be few claims. But maybe that's the idea behind it?

I frequently give my email as XXXX at gmail. Maybe I'll write xxxx at gmail dot com. yeah, maybe I do that.
all you can do is try that. sounds pretty stupid on their part to me!

Hi Jack,
Type the @ in a text document and copy it. Then paste the symbol on the web page. Another choice is to use the on screen keyboard to enter data.
IMO - Class Action Suit results = Each person gets very little - the lawyers are set for life - the company passes the costs to their next customers and really loses nothing. So the little guy that was wronged at first is ultimately the one that has to pay for all this. Class action suits are not for consumers...they are for lawyers.

Thanks Dana, that worked to insert the @ in the email address, but the On-Screen Keyboard doesn't work to submit my Apple ID which is made up of other upper and lower caps. All characters default to caps.
The suit provides a minimum of $25 per claim which probably isn't worth the effort of solving this, but I just want to stick it to them and make the lawyers wealthier.

Marge. your idea would work if the claims were reviewed by real people with a modicum of intelligence; however the claims form states any claim that is improperly submitted will be refused without further action. I really didn't want to give them an excuse.
