Has anyone else had a bad experience of Outlook's search function failing, following a recent Windows update?
The problem manifested in being unable to search by the categories to which I'd allocated emails in my Inbox, eg Shopping, Insurance, Car etc. Outlook's search was able to find some of the older emails filed under these headings, but missed any new ones.
MS say this is now fixed, but that didn't solve the problem. Neither did rebuilding the index or any of their other suggestions. In the end I had to rebuild my Outlook profile, which did solve the problem, but at the expense of wiping all my settings (I use TechHits SimplyTags). I now have to rebuild 300+ links by hand...
