The Laptop Asper Aspire does not respond to F2 at start, but goes directly to loading Windows 8 or 10, as the case may be. Obviously the button does not work, F12 does not either. I cannot find any advice on changing the boot order at startup except by pressing some key very very quickly. The response time interval for entering BIOS must have been set to zero.

Can anybody can guide me how to change this nuisance?

Hi jr,

To access the BIOS in an Acer laptop:

While the laptop is running with Windows loaded press the F2 key and hold it down.

While holding the F2 key down, press the power button.

This should bring up the BIOS screen.

Release all keys when the BIOS screen appears.
