I recently installed a new Samsung 840 EVO 250Gb. I cloned my C drive onto the SSD with the supplied software. I am using Win 7 by the way. The software is very easy to use and the clone was created in about 45 minutes. My problem was that when I went into the BIOS on my machine it would not let me select the SSD as the primary boot source. After much head scratching and Googling nothing seemed to work. Then a friend half jokingly asked "have you tried swapping the drive plug positions on the motherboard"? Guess what it worked, my machine now boots from the SSD and it appears in the BIOS as the primary boot source. It may not work for everyone but if you are having a problem give it a go.
