When going to a techtalk.pcpitstop URL, the data cuts off after only a few lines. When I use that same URL in Internet Explorer 8, the full information is shown on the screen. This is happening with every URL in the PCPitstop January 2014 Newsletter (received by me in email). Here is one example: URL is techtalk.pcpitstop.com/2014/01/29/handle-open-source-software-care/?evilopensource=Picture of results from Chrome is shown in included graphic. Can anyone tell me why the data is cutting off with just a few lines? My Chrome version is up to date. Laverne Attachments:

Try this Check that no extensions are enabled to run in Incognito. Click the Chrome menu Chrome menu > Settings. Click Extensions. Make sure the "Allow in incognito" checkbox is unselected. Open a new incognito window by clicking the Chrome menu Chrome menu > New incognito window. Visit the website that was not displaying correctly.
If the page displays correctly in the incognito window, proceed with the following suggestions and check if the page displays correctly in a normal window.

Marck, I did use the incognito window in Chrome and the techtalk.pcpitstop sites did show all the data. Then I tried the URL(s) on a normal Chrome window -- and now all the data displayed. However, in both cases, the Chrome tabs showed two parallel lines in red. I cannot find what that means. I did try Googling it. An example of these tabs is attached. Laverne

My Google version is 32.0.1700.102 m. I check for updates every day or two. BTW, I'm running Windows XP; I don't know if this is relevant or not. I'm still getting the double red lines on the Chrome tabs for every URL which uses techtalk.pcpitstop. Laverne

Laverne, I wouldn't worry,I don't think its your pc.I use Firefox and those two red lines show up on my PC also. I don't know what they mean or if they are only there for eye candy,in any case they don't hurt anything.

Hi Laverne.
Those two vertical red lines will appear in all browsers. It is the Favicon for that web site.

Dana, thanks for the clarification about the red lines being the favicon. Sure enough, (not that I doubted you). I opened the site with Internet Explorer and there was the icon to the left of the URL in the address field. Mystery solved!
Marck, thank you for helping with the problem of Chrome data not being displayed. Everything is working now. I'll have to remember to try using the incognito mode if I have a problem but I won't promise that I will (remember).
