Marck,
I've had no problem getting to "hotmail" (outlook.com) using WinXP -- with browsers IE8 and/or current Chrome. Both work fine.

Lavern Your missing my point,I know outlook is working,I know how to get it back. What I don't know is why. It's not the firewall not the antivirus. On my windows 7 outlook just stops working and it tells me can't find the internet.firefox,IE all my bookmarks work just outlook doesn't.If I google outlook and sign in am fine for awhile.Somethings wrong just don't know what.My other PC's all work fine.

Hi marck,
I'm not sure exactly the cause of this specific problem, but similar "no access" problems can be caused by these two problems, which may be the cause for your problem.
1) Conflict of default browser. Microsoft owns outlook.com and really wants you to have IE set as the default browser. Having Firefox as the default browser and working with outlook.com has been a problem since Microsoft took over hotmail to make outlook.com. Set IE as the default browser and see if this helps.
2) Outlook.com has had many upgrades (to fix problems) since it started. Often such non connect problems are associated with a site upgrade, but trying to load with cookies stored from the last session that were save in the browser cache (history). Clear the History in IE and the cache in Fire fox and see if that helps.

I clear my history and cache every day.Since I have it running for now I will just have to wait and see what happens from here.
