Quick Tip: Which Drive is Which
Most users identify their drives by the drive letters (C:\, D:\, etc.) Windows assigns to the drives. In apps like Device Manager the drives are identified by the manufacturer’s name for the drive (such as WDC PC SN250 SDAAPNUW-128G-1006) which leaves the user trying to figure out which drive is C:\ and which is D:\.
Easy and quick answer:
Open Device Manager Expand Disk drives Select drive, right click and select Properties Select Volumes tab Click Populate button The Windows assigned name and drive letter will show in the Volumes box
