Wondering who in this Forum has encountered scams on the Internet (who HASN'T?) and how did you handle them other than just ignoring them? We can all benefit from your experience if you care to share.

I handle suspicious links just as I do the the phone calls from numbers I don't recognize. I answer the phone and say, How much will it cost me? A slight pause and they hang up. Before I click a link I would like to check out, I place my mouse onto it and see down below if the destination matches. If not, then the e-mail is deleted.

I have had a couple of clients in the last year who didn't know they could see what a link really is or how to look at an email header to get more info about the sender. These things seem so obvious to us, but there is still a big need for more education and awareness by users who only see the UI and not what is going on behind it.
