I can download Windows updates, and they install up to over 90%. Then I get a message that the installation can't be completed , and the changes will be undone. Often after several weeks the update will install, but I can't catch up. Right now the updates waiting to be installed are Windows 10 version 1607 for x64-based system (KB4049411 and 4033631) and 2017-11 cumulative update for the same KB4048953. Update for Windows 10 version 1607 for x64-based system KB 4023057 installed on Nov. 2 after several weeks.

I only "like" this post so I can be notified of follow-ups because I'm curious about this. What a weird situation. Let us know what you learn.

How do I determine which one causes the problem? I've seen an approach that involves uninstalling all the updates, but I am concerned that I will be left in a worse condition without any updates.
I'm wondering if this problem is related to another problem I have with starting up which results in error 0xc0000225. There I have a choice to try again, go to "Start up" or to UEFI Firmware settings. "Try again" has always been successful to date.
