Hello fellow Neat Net Tricksters: You may have heard about the most recent (or perhaps, one of the most recent) malware nasties out there at present. This one gets through the firewall the is built into your router. It can then infect any wireless device on your home network that has access to the Internet through your router. An excellent description of this criminal invasion of our homes and offices is the most recent article from the Ask Leo newsletter. You can find that article at Ask Leo! #675. Since the fix has to be done to your router, and not to your home network or your connection to the Internet you have to get a patch from the manufacturer of your router itself. To find out if the make and model of your router has an update available, click on the link in the article "Bleeping Computer reports", then at the bottom of that article: List of Firmware & Driver Updates for KRACK WPA2 VulnerabilityI called my Internet Service Provider's support line (as I am using "their" router), and found that they had already done the firmware update, so the router is secure. I hope that it will be as easy as that for you. Good luck Peter
