My "Save As" screen (Word 2007) looks strange. Below "Save as type" I see Authors, Tags, Title, etc. I don't ever remember seeing these items. I think I accidentally dragged my cursor and these appeared and now I don't know how to get rid of them. Can you help? Picture attached.

Hi laverne,
I guess you haven't seen that before, but that is Word 2007 normal Save as window. The Author, Title and other notations under the Save as type box are Description properties of the document being saved. The Properties window of the file will display whatever you put in these areas. Thus a copied file will carry any info in these fields.
FYI: if you desire to share a copy of one of your documents but would like to have all the personal identification info removed from the file: click the Office Button, select Prepare> and then Inspect Document. Follow the prompts to remove all personal info. Another very easy way to to this is to right click the unopened document and select Properties. Select the Details tab. At the bottom is a link labeled Remove Properties and Personal Information. Clicking this opens the Remove properties box already checked to create a copy with all properties and personal information removed. You will see the copy in the folder next to the original file and will have the same name with a -Copy added to the end of the file name.

Hi Dana, Thanks for your comments. I now realize that this is the normal "Save As" window, but it looked strange to me suddenly. Guess I never really looked at the bottom of that screen.
I did gain a lot of knowledge from you about sharing a copy of one of my documents. I didn't even know that personal information was included in the document one shared. "A little knowledge...."
