Oh, I was saddened to know that this Forum is ceasing to exist come Dec 31, 2014. That probably was announced but I surely missed it.
I wanted to take this opportunity to express my most sincere thanks to Jack, Mark, Dana and all the others who have been so helpful over many years. I feel like you are all my technical family. So it is with a real sadness that I say goodbye.
I really can't express all the knowledge you have imparted and the goodwill, too. Many many thanks.
How will we know how Dr. Mark is doing in his recovery?

WHOAAA......Laverne, where did you get the idea the Forum was ceasing? I have announced several times that the Forum would be the only part of the NNT structure that would remain after the email issues terminated. And, it will remain open as long as it remains of service to its participants. That's why I've been encouraging everyone to register and continue to use it.

Oops! Well, I misunderstood this comment from you, Jack. "Yeah, you may be right. May be time for a new computer but I can't justify it since NNT will be closing this month and I may not even take a computer along on the travels. Time to simplify!" neatnettricks.freeforums.net/thread/568/link-problemI'm so glad I did get it wrong. Best news I've had in weeks!

Hi Dr. Mark --
Sorry about the "NNT forum closing" misunderstanding. The last thing I want is to cause you more stress!
Thank you so much for sharing your recuperation. I can't even imagine what you are going through. Please keep us informed.

As I see from the last issue of the newsletter, our gurus seem to still be able to sit up and use a keyboard, and we have reassurance that the Forum, which has proven so useful over the years, will continue into the indefinite (but hopefully long) future. I have been excessively involved in other things so have not been able to join in for many, many weeks but it's great to see everyone else has been picking up the slack in the meantime.
So to, Jack, who after 18 years has earned his release from a life of deadlines, Dr.Mark and Dr. Card, whose founts of knowledge so freely given never fail to amaze, and all the regulars on the board, on this Christmas when all the regulars make it feel like a family visit, a merry Christmas and a happy New Year. And I'll hope to see you all again soon.
