Marck, do you have 32.0.2014 or 32.0.2014.5. The version with the 5 at the end came out a day after the other one. It addressed problems some people were having with the original new version. If you downloaded and installed 32.0.2014 (without the .5 at the end), that may be why FileHippo wants to update it. Yes I do have the latest with the .5 at the end.I wonder what would happen if I downloaded .5 again.

One more possibility: if, like me, you still have the old WinPatrol.exe file on your computer (in the Program Files (x86)/BillP Studios/WinPatrol directory), that may be the file that FileHippo wants to update. If that's the case, I think you can simply ignore FileHippo.

Okay, okay, Shakespeare was wrong: she doth [not] protest too much. Cyberdiva was not only correct, but nailed the problem right away. Hats off to Cyberdiva!

I tried uninstalling the old version and reinstalling the new.5 same thing. must be something wrong at filehippo's end.No problem with that but its annoying.

I'm still having problems the old and new version are being started. I used winpatrol to remove the startup of the old version but after a reboot it comes back.

Ok, So i fixed it. It seems the new version did not delete the registry entries that started the old version and Winpatrol remove function did not either. So i renamed the old folder and ran ccleaner it found the reg entries that were pointing to the old folder that didnt exist. I cleaned them out with ccleaner. However it must of cleaned out the new as well. I re-installed the new and all seems well now. The old version is no longer in the startup.
