I am using windows 7 64bit.When ever I click on Outlook to check my hotmail,it will flicker on and off for over a minute before it settles down.Does anyone know what the cause is ? Outlook is the only page doing this.

If you Google "Flickering Outlook" you will see that you are not alone. There are too many possible solutions to post.

Tried google, nothing. What it's seems to be doing is like its trying to find the page over and over again.Turned off all addons, reinstalled outlook, same thing. What I find strange is that it does this on firefox but not on IE.

From what I see here: support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/965847 it has not been resolved yet. Since it does not happen to everyone I'd suggest trying a couple of things. One, uninstall all versions of Java from Programs and Features and then reinstall most current version. Second, check the website of your video card vendor and download most current version.

These might be a waste of time but it will help eliminate what is NOT the problem. Shouldn't take to long.
1. Try logging into Windows Live with a different account and going to outlook.com under that login. Same problem? (rules out server side problem with your mailbox)
2. Try logging into your PC under a different username, then Windows Live with problem browser. Same problem? (rules out profile issue on your pc)

I'm out of ideas except for trying one more time to remove Firefox, then use CCleaner to clean up all temp files, and use the CCleaner registry cleaner to remove traces of "obsolete software", then reinstall Firefox. If that does not work, you could try moving to Firefox's companion email program Thunderbird. support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/thunderbird-and-hotmail has info needed to set up an IMAP connection within Thuderbird. Good luck, sorry none of the above worked...

i have the same problem however i noticed that it seems to coincide with the sequence of the scripts being run. Like it jitters or even reloads between scripts. Does it settle after a while? You could use poppeeper to access the account and have the benefit of being notified of new mail without being logged into outlook.

The way I finally solve the problem, was to delete outlook and install windows live mail.Took a long time to figure this out. Thanks to all of you that gave it a good shot at trying to help.
