Beware, the update to Adobe Flash Player 12 has bundled McAfee Security Scan Plus and installs it without offering an option to decline. Nonetheless, it seems to be an easy uninstall. WinPatrol asked whether it should be placed in my startup group and I declined, then went to the Adobe Folder and selected the uninstall file.

Very strange. I downloaded and installed the update last week and there was no McAfee bundled on either the update for IE, Firefox, or Opera.

I too downloaded and installed the update about a week ago. IIRC, it DID offer some McAfee stuff, with a check mark indicating that I wanted it. I unchecked the "offer," and all was well. So, unlike Mark, I DID have McAfee bundled with Flash, and unlike Jack, I DID have the option to say "no thanks."

I have noticed the McAfee bundled with Flash in the last few updates. Its one of those things that you cant be to complacent in doing an update.I find that a lot of the updates now add something to there updates, even microsoft with the bing toolbar. One has to really look for the custom install.

Yes, I got the Flash update with the pre-checked McAfee box, though it was placed in a position where it would be VERY easy to miss.
My Win7 HP updates offered the Bing desktop, IE11 for 64-bit, and three useful optional updates plus the important one. Of course what is offered depends on your computer configuration.
