I have a western digital that's a year old according to their test I should have at least 18 more months. but then again that could be 18 hours who knows for sure.I have had cheap brands in some of my PC's that where over 10 years old and still going strong,and some that went in less than two weeks.I personally think that there are too many things like usage,power surges.amount of use and a whole bunch of other thing like luck,to really worry about weather your hard drive is going to go.If you worry make sure you have a good backup plan.
