The Adobe flash update if you are on auto update will download McAffe security.

In the updating process, you'll see a banner: Simply uncheck McAfee and it won't install during Adobe's update. That's the way most of the bundled software gets to one's PC. You just have to exercise care.

Adobe flash is(was) the only thing on my pc that's set to auto update. It didn't give me a chance to choose,it just downloaded McAffe on its own.Now everything except my AV is on manual update.

I hear you! Java started installing Chrome Browser on its updates awhile back. Like you, I allow nothing to auto update, not even Microsoft--especially not Microsoft!
