Thanks, Marck, for the heads-up about Firefox 24. The tech website ghacks.net has a moderately detailed account of what's new in Firefox 24: www.ghacks.net/2013/09/17/firefox-24-0-find-new/. I've now happily switched to the Firefox-based Pale Moon browser as my default, but for now I still have Firefox on my computer, so I guess I'll have to decide whether or not to move to FF 24. It sounds as if more extreme changes are in the offing.

What OS are you using it on ? Are you using 32 or 64 bits. Also how well is this pale moon working out? My OS is Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. At the moment, I've got both the 32-bit and the 64-bit versions of Pale Moon installed; however, I'm thinking of keeping just the 32-bit version, since more plug-ins work with it than with the 64-bit version. Pale Moon had been recommended on a number of forums, and so far I'm delighted with it. All the add-ons, etc. that I've used with Firefox work with Pale Moon as well. It seems a little more agile than Firefox (though it's possible I'm just imagining that), and I don't feel I have to worry about a Firefox update wreaking havoc with the way I've got things set up. Pale Moon's updates are based on Firefox but are not identical, and there's no push to install them automatically. One additional advantage is that the Pale Moon developer participates actively on the Pale Moon forums (as do some experienced users), and so when people have questions or encounter problems, there's usually prompt and knowledgeable help available. I HIGHLY recommend it!

For what it's worth, the latest Firefox update (mostly security patches) installed without a hitch and did not seem to break anything.

Need to be careful about getting off top in this forum. A discussion of other browsers is welcomed and useful but will not be seen by others if in this forum.

marck, I simply meant that a discussion of browsers would be more helpful and likely to be seen if it were a separate discussion in the appropriate subject area (called "forum"), in this instance, "Internet." I think you took "forum" to mean the entire Bulletin Board when I suggested we stay on topic.
Someone who might be interested in joining in or simply learning from a discussion on the Pale Moon Browser would not know to look for that discussion or information under this "forum" on Updates, Patches, Fixes.

Where would one post about browsers? Would it be under everything else ? I thought I was just asking a simple mater of fact question.Sorry I didn't mean to throw anyone off kilter.
