Watch the new MS updates they want to download over and over again. If you have it set to auto update check to make sure it only downloads once.Lots of people are having this problem,Me for one. solution is to hide the extra updates. At least until Microsoft solves the problem.

I do manual Windows Updates -- and you are indeed right that updates reappear in the update list after installing. I updated two computers -- Windows XP and Windows 7. And these are the three updates which keep reappearing even after they supposedly installed correctly, on both systems: Security Update for Microsoft Office 2007 suites (KB2760588) Security Update for Microsoft Office 2007 suites (KB2760411) Security Update for Microsoft Office Excel 2007 (KB2760583)

Woody Leonhard mentions the repeating updates in an article in InfoWorld about this and other problems with the current batch of Windows Updates. The article is here.

Add me to the list having trouble with 3 Office 2007 updates. I don't have automatic update on. It is strange that after updating the message says updates successfully installed. It will be interesting to see how long it will take to correct this. Hope that nothing bad happens because of this failure.
