I normally don't promote apps, but this is my anti- Weather.com extreme use of ads way beyond any other free sites posting. If you use Chrome as your browser you can hold the mouse pointer over the tab of a web page and details of that page will display. At the bottom of the details is how much memory that page is using (aka: how big is the download of the web page and all its ads). As you go to web sites with ads, see how much memory is used. Weather.com uses 2 to 3 times as much memory than any other web site with ads and averages way over 1 GB download each time you access the site. But, you want up to date weather at different locations. The answer I found is WeatherMate. WeatherMate is freeware that you can download from Oldergeeks.com at the link below. It gives me the weather I want without any ads. Mine is set to AutoHide and display only when I move the mouse to its hide location, but updates in the background. Can be set to pop up weather alerts. The only negative is no useful Radar map. WeatherMate 4.21Note: At Oldergeeks.com the download link is at the bottom of the page.
