This is a quick tip not in my usual format. Do you go to a specific Windows Settings page often? For example: the Windows Update Settings page to pause updates or confirm updating. Or System Protection app to create a Restore point before you make changes. You can create shortcuts that open directly to those settings with one click. Create all the shortcuts using the Create Shortcut wizard. In the box for Type the location of the item:Enter ms-settings:windowsupdate for the Windows Update settings page Enter %HOMEDRIVE%\Windows\System32\SystemPropertiesProtection.exe for System Protection app where the Create a Restore Point button is. Enter ms-settings:savelocations for Change where new content is saved page The Windows Settings pages use an URI for each page’s location. Using the URI for a settings page will open that page. The link below is to download a PDF file that is a list of URIs for Windows 10. The download site is a free hosting which is paid for by pop up ads. Close the pop up ads and download the small file.
