Just purchased a wireless HP printer with blue tooth. Computer also has bluetooth. However the computer will not recognize the printer. I had another printer set up on the other side of the house with bluetooth which often would not print even though it seemed to be set up correctly and recognized by my computer. I removed all printers from the computer to reinstall now the computer doesn't recognize any of the bluetooth printers. I can print with the new printer if I use the cable. I have followed all the instructions fro the printer. Anyone have any suggestions?

totally wild guess, based on a vast fund of ignorance. I gather from failed attempts to introduce my cellphone to the hands-off function in my car that Bluetooth is a finicky critter that wants a formal protocol precisely performed before it will give the original handshake, and then can be nervous. It's quite a short-range protocol; are your printers within range? And did removing all the printers from the installation mean they now feel jilted and want the introduction ritual re-executed before they'll talk to each other again?
Since no one else seems interested in helping out, maybe this will give you possibilities to consider.

Thanks, Blueboxer. Appreciate your input and you may well have been right. Did what I should have first thing and called the HP support somewhere in New Delhi and the sweet IT tech helped me right out. I always feel so helpless when they do that remote takeover thing but it works most every time. Funny thing is...it seemed she did everything exactly as I did.
